Camp: We will have our summer camp Monday August 2nd through Friday August 6th, 9am-5pm. There will be lots of horse and farm related activities to enjoy all week. Campers must be at least 8 years of age. Campers will learn grooming, saddling, horse care, riding, etc. Other activities may include, but are not limited to stall cleaning, horse bathing, saddle/tack cleaning, pasture cleanup, wound care lessons, riding techniques, how to handle tough situations with horses, trailering, horse stories, dips in the river, jump painting, picnic at the river, and so much more. Please feel free to call with any questions or suggestions. Camp cost is $350 per camper. Current students and early registry qualify for camp discount. Campers will receive a camp T-shirt and a photo with their favorite camp horse.
Campers must register by 7/20/10. To qualify for the early bird discount campers must register by 7/10/20. Registration includes all forms turned in completely filled out with a 50% non-refundable camp fee deposit. The remainder of camp fees will be paid upon arrival on the 1st day of camp.
Rules of Conduct
All campers will be required to conduct themselves as young Ladies and Gentleman. Politeness, respect, and good sportsmanship are mandatory - No Exceptions. Failure to comply may result in the camper being sent home.
General Camp Rules:
1. Respect the camp. Do not harm the plants, animals, or camp property. No littering.
2. Camp is for you. Participation is required in all programs and duties.
3. All medications, (prescription and non-prescription) must be turned in to the camp medical personal upon arrival.
4. Camp counselors and adult staff are there to help you. Follow their instructions.
5. Water fights are to be held in designated areas only. Non-compliance will result in disciplinary action.
Barn Rules:
A. All problems in the barn area are to be reported to the barn managers or other staff immediately.
B. Tack shall be kept neat and properly stored in the tack room.
C. Campers shall keep the paddock area free of manure.
D. Walk only in the paddock area.
E. No ipod, cell phone, or other electonic device should be used outside of break times unless there is an emergency
